I mentioned previously a “Secret Project” I was working on, and now that the recipient has opened her gift, it’s safe to discuss the details :)
Yes, the secret project was a gift for Sarai. One that is genuinely unique, because it is hand-made. I was kinda rushed, because the idea was late in arriving, plus the need to mail it in time. I don’t have a complete set of photos for the making-of (mainly because I did most of the work… at work, where there’s a no photography policy), and for some stupid reason, I never took a photo of the finished product before I packed it up for shipping. You’ll have to bug Sarai for pics of the final product.
Here’s two pics of the internals:

What you have wrapped up in that ominous looking bundle of wires and make-shiftery is the innards of a Hallmark “record your own message” card. From the bottom up you have the battery compartment (white plastic), The speaker, the main circuit-board, and a cardboard pressure plate. BTW, cardboard is much stronger once you soak it with superglue.
This whole contraption was then attached to and sealed inside a stuffed heart-shaped ornament. It is now up to Sarai to fill you in on the rest of the details :)
Merry Christmas, fellow bloggers! :)

It was very good work for you not being the crafty sort, and it melted my heart, I love it and I love you *kisses
Wow, what a wonderful gift! :D
And merry Xmas to you both, of course :)
